There's no point messing about creating fantastic food Collette, 29, says the trick is to keep it simple
“I was really keen to do as much home cooking as I could. I did use baby food as well, because it was just handy, but I’ve got some quite good tips for managing to do as much home cooking as you can.
“I think the main rule is to keep it very simple. There’s no point messing about creating fantastic foods, because they might not like it. I tended to make big batches of food in one go, say pear or carrot mixed with baby milk. Then I’d freeze it in ice cube trays. The freezer would be full of ice cubes that were either bright orange, because they were carrot or something or kind of weird green because I’d done potato and broccoli! Then at meal times you can just get a cube out and microwave it and you’re off.
“With your home cooking you’ve got the opportunity to try as many different foods as you like. That should help make them less fussy. Feed them your food at the same time every day, babies love routine and can get a bit confused if you feed them at different times.”

“Jessie used to have really bad eczema when she was little. I mean really bad, so much so she mostly had bandages on her arms all the time....."
