Tantrums Faddiness

Faddiness

For almost six months she hardly would touch anything other then sausages.
Susan, 34, says she was worried about whether her daughter was getting all the right nutrients

“At one point my daughter went through a weird phase where she would only really eat sausages. For almost six months she hardly would touch anything other than sausages. It was very strange. At first I was most worried about her. I worried about her getting the right nutrients and things, but the doctors said they weren’t too worried and that lots of kids go through faddy phases.

“Probably the best trick that I learned for getting her to eat vegetables so that she was getting a more balanced food intake was by making soup. I could just about persuade her to drink soup with her daily sausage! I’ve made, potato, sweet potato, carrot and broccoli soup. You can melt a bit of cheese in too. Sometime I had to really negotiate to persuade her to eat it, but at least when she’d had a bit of soup I knew she was getting a bit of goodness.”
